Parliamentary reception: Accelerating UK Hydrogen Technologies

Yesterday, two of our team headed to Westminster to represent Equisera at the Parliamentary Reception: Accelerating UK Hydrogen Technologies, hosted by the Hydrogen Innovation Initiative.

Michael Sims and Nadia Shahanaz Hussain had the opportunity to showcase our RiPR technology to parliamentarians, government officials, and senior industry representatives, alongside some of the most exciting hydrogen innovators in the UK.

With energy bills still around 40% above pre-crisis levels, and wholesale gas prices once again under pressure from geopolitical instability, the case for homegrown, waste-derived energy solutions feels more urgent than ever. Technologies like RiPR can help reduce the UK’s dependence on imported gas and strengthen energy resilience, while making productive use of waste streams that currently contribute to emissions. Getting that message in front of the people who shape policy is not just worthwhile, it is necessary.

Our little RiPR model also made its Westminster debut. We are not saying it overshadowed Big Ben, but it did hold its own.

Being in spaces where policy meets innovation is important to us. The UK has extraordinary talent and technology in the hydrogen and clean energy space, and it deserves to be seen, heard, and backed. We are proud to be part of that story.

Thank you to the Hydrogen Innovation Initiative and Beyond2050 for a brilliant morning, and to everyone who came to find out more about what we are building at Equisera.
