Last week we headed to 1 Triton Square to join Venture Café London and the Barclays Innovation Hub powered by Eagle Labs for their one year birthday celebration.
The theme was “From Seed to Scale: Building Fundable Deep Tech”, reflecting on what investors look for post-seed, how to evidence momentum through long R&D cycles, and how founders make the leap from breakthrough technology to scalable business.
One thing we loved about the Venture Café set up was the name badges: names only, no roles, no company logos. It really helped foster genuine conversations with anyone and everyone, and we had so many great chats as a result.
We were also proud to feature in the Innovation Showcase, where the enthusiasm and questions about our RiPR technology kept us so busy that we never made it to the LEGO session. Officially the only regret of the night.
A huge thank you to the Venture Café London team for welcoming us into such a brilliant ecosystem, with special shout outs to Liam Ward and Lawrence Roqueza for making us feel so at home, and to the whole team for organising the evening.
