Equisera is proud to announce the formation of its Commercial Advisory Board, appointing three senior figures from engineering, industrial decarbonisation and high-growth technology to provide strategic counsel as the company moves from successful pilot systems towards commercial deployment of its RiPR technology.
The new board brings together deep experience across the areas that matter most at this stage of Equisera’s journey: engineering leadership at national scale, the practical realities of industrial decarbonisation, and the commercial and corporate strategy behind growing technology businesses. Its founding members are Dame Hayaatun Sillem, Ian Hibbitt and Jeffrey Eneberi.
Dame Hayaatun Sillem
Dame Hayaatun Sillem DBE served as Chief Executive of the Royal Academy of Engineering from 2018 to 2025, leading the UK’s national academy for engineering and technology through a decade of transformational change. During her tenure she co-founded the Enterprise Hub, ranked by the Financial Times as one of Europe’s leading deep-technology accelerators.
Hayaatun has since founded Argentic Associates, focused on transforming major philanthropy, and holds non-executive roles including at Laing O’Rourke and as a trustee of Mission 44, alongside advising the UK’s Advanced Research and Invention Agency. She was appointed Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire for services to engineering in the King’s Birthday Honours 2026.
Her perspective on how engineering-led businesses scale, and on the support structures that help them succeed, is directly relevant to Equisera as it builds towards commercial deployment.
Ian Hibbitt
Ian Hibbitt is a Director at GES Solutions, where he advises industry, the public sector and academic institutions on energy transition, carbon reduction and hydrogen. He brings over two decades of experience at BOC and Linde, two of the largest names in the industrial gas sector, most recently as Strategic Development Manager for Decarbonisation.
Across his career he has worked on the commercialisation of decarbonisation technologies for the metal, glass, chemicals, steel and energy markets, and remains an active contributor to several UK industry and government working groups on hydrogen and net zero.
His understanding of how hydrogen and industrial gases reach industrial customers, and what it takes to decarbonise hard-to-abate sectors, brings valuable commercial and market insight as Equisera defines its route to market.
Jeffrey Eneberi
Jeffrey Eneberi is General Counsel & Company Secretary at Redgate Software and has over 25 years’ experience supporting technology and innovation-led businesses through start-up, scale-up and international growth.
He has led M&A transactions across the UK, Europe, US, Canada, Brazil, India and APAC and has been involved in major corporate growth milestones including Just Eat’s IPO, Satispay’s private equity investment, and Redgate’s private equity investment.
Previously, Jeffrey held senior legal roles at Shell International, where he worked on M&A transactions and helped shape renewable energy business teams. His career combines scientific training as a former geneticist with deep legal, commercial and corporate development expertise.
Jeffrey brings a rare mix of start-up, high-growth and multinational technology experience to Equisera, with particular expertise in intellectual property-rich products, software, commercial strategy, deal-structuring and international corporate transactions.
Why now
The appointments come at a pivotal moment for Equisera. The company’s RiPR technology converts biogenic and mixed waste into biomethane and hydrogen at fossil-fuel cost parity, using the infrastructure operators already have. With its most advanced end-to-end system, the Macro Pilot Plant, currently under fabrication and targeted for testing later this year, Equisera is moving from proving the technology towards designing its first commercial plant.
The Commercial Advisory Board will provide strategic counsel through this transition, complementing the company’s existing Board and senior team as it engages with prospective customers and shapes the design of its commercial system.
