Equisera has developed RiPR – a patented supercritical water reforming system that converts biogenic and mixed waste into biomethane, hydrogen, captured carbon dioxide and biochar. The process delivers clean gas at fossil-fuel cost parity.

Built on four years of progress
Since founding in 2022, Equisera has raised over £4m from private investors and secured £1.4m in non-dilutive grant funding, including £1.05m from Innovate UK. RiPR has reached TRL6 across four successive prototypes, and the company has built a commercial pipeline spanning waste, utilities, agriculture and industrial sectors – with partners including SUEZ, Wales & West Utilities, Crapper & Sons and the Food Enterprise Park.
The Macro end-to-end demonstration is currently under fabrication and on schedule for commissioning later this year.
What this raise funds
This round funds the Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) required to move RiPR from demonstration towards its first deployable commercial unit – the step that takes Equisera from demonstration to production-ready infrastructure.
